I started 20 years ago as a clinical psychologist at a psychiatric hospital. There I learned how to respond to urgencies and help clients overcome acute emotional problems.

Afterwards I worked for several years as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist and learned how to support and help clients who needed to overcome suffering over loss, trauma, identity issues, anxiety, low self-respect or problems in establishing relationships.

I also encourage clients to go beyond that: I do my best to provide an opportunity for everyone to experience and overcome all the pain they did not dare face alone, and then continue their development relieved and emboldened. I listen attentively and patiently for the messages from the unconscious, trying to help clients learn how to understand those themselves. At the same time, I always see psychoanalytic encounter as a dialogue, in which I both help others and learn from them.

I obtained my PhD in clinical psychology at Belgrade University and my psychoanalytic education with the International Psychoanalytic Association. I have worked as a clinician, professor and researcher in Belgrade, Berlin, and Klagenfurt.

For twenty years now, clinical psychology has been at the focus of my work. I have strived to help persons suffering with mental pain, show students how to develop clinical skills, and discover new ways to understand and treat mental disorders.

I came to Berlin to teach at a psychoanalytic university, i.e. to express my own voice, but Berlin reignited my passion for listening – to different cultures, the Philharmonic, and to the voices of so many individuals in search of authenticity. I thus look forward to new experiences in professional listening.
