Writing-Sweatshop: One Text. One Day.
2:00 am - 10:30 am CDT
Stillpoint Spaces Berlin
Hobrechtstrasse 66, Vorderhaus EG
Just like in other activities, many people struggle with procrastination when it comes to writing. Writing makes our thoughts visible to ourselves as well as to the public, if we choose to share it.
More often than not, we seem to have trouble starting out, and sticking with a discipline of writing as a practice. In this Writing Day, we will not approach this challenge theoretically. Rather than talk about how hard it can be to write, we will actually do it, using effective methods that set the flow of the act itself in motion.
This Workshop will respond to, and facilitate your writing, be it something you have to, or wish to do. It could be a paper, your website, a brochure, a book chapter or lecture, a proposal or an article.
Let us face the blank page together by joining the Writing Sweatshop, an intense, facilitated writing day, where you begin with an idea and go home with a first draft. Achieving structure and effectiveness will be the goal of the workshop as we move along. This Day is a great opportunity to engage with a project that you find difficult, or that you might have laid aside. The Workshop will be held in German and English. Texts can be written in any language.
